My Faves From The Orla Kiely Spring 2014 Collection

If I was to say one thing about designer Orla Kiely it would be that she is always consistent. The Kiely girl is ultra-feminine, sugary sweet, with a bit of quirk. The way her collection was styled was a bit much for me since I do not tend to go for the whole " little girl " look, but that is an easy fix. I would get rid of the knee socks and beret and instead rock a tousled bun and a sexy heel. Her collection featured a lot of great investment pieces (feminine dresses and a fab printed trench) that could work all year round.

In this set, I styled this pretty blouse and skirt from the Orly Kiely Spring 2014 Collection. Her collection was styled with a feminine and sweet vibe. I wanted to style this skirt with a more womanly flair so I finished the look off with Bakers Tia Pumps and Gena Handbag from This set showcases how you can feel empowered without giving up your femininity.

Relaxed Beauty - How to Style an Abstract Print

A long skirt can be a tricky thing to style. To make this look work proportion is key. You want to look for a skirt that doesn't swallow you whole. A slimmer cut or skirt that has a slight flounce works best. To balance the length of a long skirt the proportions on top should be fitted or show some skin. If you're not comfortable wearing a crop top a cami or spaghetti strap top will work as well. A cute fitted jacket perfect for Spring and peep-toe ankle booties will keep the look relaxed and modern.

Simply Speaking - Isa Arfen Spring 2014 Collection

Sometimes you just have to keep things simple - not boring - but without all of the extra adornment. That thought process is ironic coming from me, a woman who tends to love prints, beading, and jewels. I'm pretty sure I will not stray too far from my usual preferences, but sometimes it's nice to take the simplistic approach. That was why I was drawn to Isa Arfen's Spring 2014 Collection. The collection contained simple shapes paired with beautiful fabrics and gorgeous color. Designer Serafina Sama did an excellent job of creating pieces that you could have in your closet for years to come.

My favorite item from the Isa Arfen Spring 2014 Collection was the 3/4 length pink midi skirt.  I loved how they styled it in the collection with a crop top so I went with that idea. Except my version was from River Island, and I found the cut of the top to be more my style. I added a little flair to the look with a Brahmin Large Duxbury White Monaco Satchel. I finished the look off with…

Chic It Is - My 5 Faves From the Martin Grant Spring 2014 Collection

We live in such an overexposed world that sometimes I need to be reminded that not every occasion calls for something clingy. So it's always nice when a designer presents us with other options like Martin Grant did for his Spring 2014 Collection. Some of my favorite pieces from his collection played with patterns and reworking classics by playing with volume.
Below are some of the smartest, chicest buys of the season.

Below is one of my favorite dresses from the Martin Grant Spring 2014 Collection. I wanted to showcase how I would style it. Even though this dress would work well for day, I decided to go a different route and style it for cocktails or a dinner date. I paired the dress with a Zac by Zac Posen Loren Shoulder Bag and Ava & Aiden Pipa Two-Piece High Heel Sandal. To work with the bold print of the dress a minimal makeup look is all you need. I would rock a smokey eye (right now I'm loving Benefit's Smokin' Eyes Gift Set) and a nude lip to add a sultry edg…

Spring Break OOTD - Tribal Beats

I'm in love with tribal prints! They're vibrant & wild, and add personality to a look. They are a fun addition to any casual outfit.  For today's spring break inspired outfit I wanted to celebrate the tribal influences in my life. It all started with this great top by River Island. To complete the look I added Aztec shorts, Iosselliana bracelets, and to-die-for sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti.

Glow Girl Glow - How To Achieve The Perfect Bronze Glow

If your skin has been a little depressed-looking these makeup tips will be all you need to perk up your look. It's only a few things you have to keep in mind when choosing a bronzer. Choose a formula slightly deeper than your skin tone, apply it only to key areas, and top it with a pink-toned blush to make cheeks look sun-kissed. I tend to find that a matte, powder version works best. To further boost skin's radiance add an iridescent highlighter to the inner corners of eyes and cheekbones. Applying warm colors to the rest of the face will enhance the glow.

1) Start with clean moisturized skin. Using a synthetic foundation brush, sweep foundation on the forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin. Blend upward over the rest of the face.
2) Pat concealer under the eyes and on blemishes with your ring finger. Using a fluffy brush, dust loose translucent powder on the center of the forehead, down the nose, and on the chin.
3) Swirl a bronzer brush in a matte powder bronzer that's slightly …

Spring Break OOTD : Travel Essentials

Since I was not able to go on a fabulous vacation during Spring Break I have decided to show a few travel essentials that I would take if I went on a dream trip. Today's destination: Saint Lucia. I was inspired by the lush land and sparkling blue ocean in the inspiration photo. In a tropical location I like to keep it simple, and make sure that all the items I bring do not take up a lot of space when I'm packing. A great t-shirt, a pair of jeans, bikini, colorful tote, and comfortable sandals are all I need.

A Casual Stroll - Spring Break OOTD #2

When I saw this floral shirt dress from Gap I knew it would be versatile enough to wear at home or on a spring break getaway. It's chic, comfortable, and easy to pack without taking up a lot of space. I balanced the feminine print with a Talula denim vest, Monserat De Luca fringe purse, ASOS sandals, and Ray Ban aviator sunglasses.
