The Daily Look - Uptown Punk

Lately, I have been trying to figure out how to work more green into my life as you may have noticed in my last post where I showcased how to work the color green into your home decor. Unfortunately for me, it is even harder to try to figure out how I could wear it in a fun and unusual way. So I started my search and came across this unique and edgy handbag from Loewe. It was giving me this punk vibe so I decided to go ahead and use that aspect of its design as my inspiration for today's fashion set. Then I came across this Emma Cook silk front sweater and the outfit started to come together. I added some skinny jeans, combat boots and razor-sharp accessories to finish off the look.

The Home Advantage - Gilded Green

A light celery green hue is one of my favorite colors to use in a home. It is the perfect mix of yellow and green and the color is one of the rare neutrals that will actually brighten up your space. It is great as an accent color or if you dare to go bolder it is fantastic as the main attraction like the inspiration image pictured below. To glam up your room even more pair this lovely shade of green with metallic accents in gold and copper and you will have an inviting and sophisticated space to entertain in.

Rugged Rascal - Dress Up Your Casual Style

Since it is a new season I am showing a few items that a man could consider adding to his wardrobe. All of the items listed below are right on trend but for a more conservative guy that wants to look presentable but still looks like he knows what is cool and fashionable.
Suede Varsity Jacket: I have always had a soft spot for a varsity jacket but this is not the kind that the high school football team wore. This is a sleek take on the trend, especially since it is in a sumptuous suede.
Contrast Stitch Jeans: These jeans are perfect for the type of guy who doesn't like a lot of distressing or rips in his jeans. They are in a classic wash that can be dressed up or down, and the contrast stitching adds visual interest.
Geometric Tee: Has a contemporary design and a roomy comfortable fit. Totally Dad-Bod approved.
Suede Chukka Boots: You can never go wrong in a classic style of boots in an interesting and unexpected color.
Burnished Leather Wallet: A wallet is a must-have accessory and…

Beauty And The Beat - A Natural Flawless Glow

In honor of the first week of spring, I am presenting a refreshing beauty look perfect for this time of year. I loved the deep wine lipstick that I rocked all winter but I thought it was time to try something new. So I started looking for ideas and inspiration and came across this fantastic look which featured a natural and flawless glow. What I liked most about it was that it was not a dewy, sparkly or shimmery glow. This look had more of a matte finish which is perfect for my oily skin. Plus it is easy to achieve with a minimum amount of effort and time.

Don't Forget To Be Awesome - Street Style OOTD

It's Monday and that means it another start of a new week. After a relaxing weekend, it is so hard to get in the mind frame to tackle deadlines, answer emails and handle my to-do-list. Throughout it all, I try to remember to don't forget to be awesome. Which is a highly personal thing. For me, it means not to forget myself and my needs while maintaining a hectic schedule. It motivates me to take some time off so I can be the best version of myself. It also inspires me to not get too comfortable in my lazy day clothes and to put a little more effort in my style because it generally makes me feel better when I have a great outfit on. Today's outfit shows one way I up the style factor when rocking a casual outfit. I get rid of the sneaker and put on a pair of nice flat shoes or boots and I always add fab accessories.

Straight From The Runway - My 7 Faves From The Tanya Taylor Spring 2016 Collection

One of my favorite designers for the past several seasons is the wonderfully talented Tanya Taylor. Her collections are always full of color and cheer and her spring 2016 collection did not disappoint. She offered up beautifully hand-painted floral prints, checks, stripes and gorgeous sundresses.  Check out some of my favorites from her lovely collection below.

Lust Worthy Shoe - PIERRE HARDY Kaliste Heel Sandals

This vibrant pair of heels is so lust-worthy. I personally can not afford the price tag but I can admire the lovely craftsmanship. Pierre Hardy's statement-making Kaliste sandals will transform a ladylike dress or a pair of great jeans. They're made from black suede with bold yellow, pink and lilac leather straps and are elevated with a slick stiletto heel.

Street Style Chic - Animal Print Sweater

I have had a love affair with denim since I was a child and each and every season I still get excited to show my favorite ways to style them. A basic dark blue skinny jean is a wardrobe staple and an on-trend essential. By pairing this everyday essential with an animal print sweater, a sleek handbag, and chic earrings I ended up with a wearable and stylish outfit.

The Gold Standard

When I first saw this velvet embellished mini skirt from Topshop Unique's Fall 2015 collection I was so in love. The embroidery was so beautiful and well done. The gold, silver and metallic green thread depicting thistles and dandelions looked so lush and gave the skirt a luxurious feel. I teamed this skirt with an Oscar de la Renta merino sweater and Tory Burch black embellished velvet and leather belt. To complete the look I added Rag & Bone suede knee-high boots and a Balmain tote bag.

Add A Little Sparkle To Your Life (My 7 Favorite Sequin Clutches)

Today's outfit of the day is all about embellishments and sequins. Now usually I am not a fan of sequins because it conjures up images of over the top pageants or matronly frocks that my grandmother would wear. So I have tended to stay away from this much sparkle. Usually, if I did find a sequined item that caught my eye it would be a scarf or handbag, but when I saw this pretty dress by Needle & Thread I was won over. The mesh detail and see-through back edged up this glittery little number. I added a faux fur jacket, an iridescent clutch, and sexy heels to make this outfit perfect for a fun and flirty night out.
