A Classic Romance

I love color but there are a few color combinations that I tend to avoid, like the color combo of pink and red. It reminds me of a Pepto Bismol bottle for some reason, but when I saw a picture of a living space by interior designer Miles Redd I was intrigued. What intrigued me about this space was that I had never seen the color combination paired with traditional furniture. Somehow that made the unusual home design more appealing to me. There were still some things that I would change, like the color of the walls, and I would probably not group as many pictures and paintings together, but I could not deny that overall the design works.

So, this inspired me to try to replicate the look with my own aesthetic in mind.

  5. Nice inspired ;-) . My idea with such a bright red coach would be to have white walls and play the shades with black frames on the walls. Also romantic but less aggressif.

  7. Now that you say it pink and red combo does have a Pepto Bismol vibe haha however, it's a combo I love love to style. Love it and love this space so much. I have a red sofa but not a pink wall. Hmmm, just maybe...

    1. I feel you. I never considered red as a main color. I considered it as an accent color before but nothing this dramatic.

  11. Pink is a colour that I didn't used to love until I got older, and I like it blended with red and deep berry colours. The furnishings here are really beautiful! /Madison

    1. Me too! I have never seen it used in a room before, so, I was a bit taken aback when I first saw the room. The more I sat staring at it the more it grew on me.

  17. Hahaha at the Pepto Bismal reference because I see it too. LOL! Unfortunately I am not a fan of pink so I'm not the biggest fan of this combo.
