A Room With A View

Oh my goodness, I was immediately filled with wonderment and joy when I laid eyes on this modern home with a very unique view and original design. I was scrolling through Tumblr when I came upon this image and was just totally blown away (unfortunately I could not find any information on the architect/designer). I fell in love with the concept of this irregularly shaped window that had the most enchanting view of this little garden. This is a whole new spin on the concept of having a room with a view. This is the perfect solution for a plot of land that does not have an appealing view and I could see this idea working for different styles of homes just tweak the design to fit the desired aesthetic.

I was so smitten with this room and its features that I was inspired to style a room featuring some of the same design elements. The main design points that I wanted to incorporate into the furnishings and decor were glass, wood, greenery, and warm earth tones. They are the perfect combination of elements to relax in an inviting but minimal atmosphere.

    1. It would be so fun. I mentioned to another reader it is like living in a tree house but on the ground level. Usually modern design can come off as cold and uninviting but this design is the total opposite.

  23. I am always inlove with this forestry feel. My parents' house was made of 75% of bamboo and the furniture and fixtures are woody and so. It always feel like a paradise for me. :) I love the chose of pillow you have, but I prefer like a taupe sofa personally. Hihi. :D

    1. Their house sounds amazing and centered around nature. A taupe sofa would work just as well but for this set I was trying to capture the main style points of the room and the sofa I picked captures the essence of the wood and it's color.
