Out Of This World Style ( My 10 Favorite Blouson Sleeve Dresses)

Image
Exaggerated sleeves are having a huge moment right now, and they come in all shapes, sizes, and styles. Today, I'm focusing on the blouson sleeve. It is a sleeve style that is slimmer on top and becomes fuller from the elbow to cuff area. My favorite way to rock this look is by showcasing this marvelous design element on a dress. The most flattering blouson sleeve dresses are the ones with a nipped in waist, which adds some balance to the shape and is also kind to the figure.

For today's set, I am showing one way to style this trend. The blouson sleeve dress that I chose is by Zimmermann. This particular dress caught my eye because it was dramatic, feminine and darkly romantic. I also loved the little mirror embellishments that gave it an out of this world quality. So, I decided to go with that theme and paired it with Charlotte Olympia's Outerspace Clutch and some sexy Boohoo Glitter Heels. The end result is a to…

My 8 Favorite Necktie Blouse - The Styled Collection

Image
When people think of necktie blouses they are usually conjuring up images of an uptight lady who is prim and proper. Granted, this is a classic and timeless piece, but it doesn't have to be staid. There are plenty of ways to style this staple and keep it interesting. To kick it up a notch I like to style it with a print, especially when the rest of the look is monochromatic. The easiest way to do this is by adding a print accessory, such as a handbag, shoes, or scarf. The end result is still chic and sophisticated, and the true embodiment of ladylike glam.

Designer Spotlight: Forest of Chintz

Image
Forest of Chintz was founded by designing duo Sumangali Gada and Nitai Mehta. Their luxurious brand offers beautiful jewelry and accessories with Indian influences. They are well known in the Indian fashion industry and are also known for running Adity, one of India's oldest fashion houses. Now they are using all of their acquired skills to turn out beautiful jewelry that is flattering and opulent. What I like most about their offerings is their eye for detail and the use of traditional Eastern embroidery techniques. The line is beautifully crafted and designed. I can't help but admire the artistry. To view more from their latest collection (click here).

My 11 Faves From The Elie Tahari FW 2016 Collection

Image
Even though I am known for loving vibrant hues my first true love has always been the color black. I always thought a woman wearing it had a hint of mystery, maybe it is because whenever I want to appear dignified and in control I reach for this particular color. From a fashion standpoint, it always has a slimming effect. So, I could never dislike that. That's why Elie Tahari's Fall/Winter 2016 collection caught my eye. He was one of the rare designers that did not offer a variety of color in his presentation. His collection consisted of neutrals, and the majority was in the color black. So, if you are the kind of woman who likes to wrap yourself in this sophisticated color this collection is most definitely for you. Elie made sure that his use of the color black was most definitely never boring. He added visual interest with texture, prints, and luxurious fabrics. My favorite items from the collection were the black lace dresses which were elegant, sophisticated and sexy.

My 11 Favorite Men's Winter Coats

Image
Last week I wrote a post about my favorite colorful coats for women so this week I'm taking care of the guys and showcasing my eleven favorite coats for men. I have noticed over the years that men tend to buy only one coat (if they even buy one) during the winter season and they usually wear it for all occasions. Why? Do you think it is more practical, is it the simplest solution, or are you just cheap? Whatever the reason may be it is unfortunate because most guys need more than one coat for at least two types of situations. They usually need a winter coat for casual events and a more formal option for business and special occasions. So today I'm showing you a few of my favorites for the current season.
