Feminine Nest - Pastel (Pink,Grey,Blue,Green)

Okay, I'm not usually a pastel kind of woman, but tis the season for all things in that color family and I am digging some pretty finds that are inspired by this home trend.
Today's set are featuring pastel mint green, soft grey, baby blue and powder pink. My favorite way to work this trend is to incorporate into a contemporary setting. The combination complements each other without it being too frilly.

Box Of Style Spring 2018 Unboxing and Review

Hello, lovelies!
A few weeks ago I wrote a post about the Box of Style subscription service and what they had to offer for Spring 2018. I am happy to announce that I have received the box and will be reviewing some of my favorite products from it over the next several weeks.
( I did receive this box to review for free but all opinions are my own and my honest feelings about the products. )

* This subscription service ships to the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia. *

I wasn't surprised to see that their fabulous offerings for spring came in a chic minimalistic box. It was white, glossy, and featured silver and gold script.

Once I opened it up the first thing that caught my eye was the fun palm print tissue paper that my products came wrapped up in. It perfectly matched the Rachel Zoe Collection Duster that was part of the spring box. I thought it was a marvelous touch and worked well with the branding. The inside of the box also had a cute greeting exclaiming, " He…

Bring The Tropics Home

Spring is right around the corner and in anticipation of the warmer weather I have been obsessively perusing photos of tropical home decor. I have an infinity for tropical locales. I always imagined that I would retire somewhere tropical in a little shack on the beach. So I always look at photos for inspiration and ideas.

As you can see from the pics I am showcasing today there are a variety of ways to incorporate the look into your home. You could use materials like teak, bamboo, batik, ikat, and rattan to add some lushness to your home, or you could add brightness to your home with bold and sultry colors like canary yellow, jungle green, orange, turquoise, and shellfish pink.
Below are a few items that I have found that will add a casual and relaxed vibe to your home with a fabulous tropical flair.

Just Us Girls

Today's outfit of the day was inspired by this beautiful picture of supermodel Chanel Iman in a net hat and rocking bold matte red lips. I started to think about how I would style an outfit that would work with the vibe of the image. I found a pretty dress by Karen Millen that captured the sexy and feminine touches in the photo. The lace in the dress was a great substitute for the mesh. It is a similar fabric that allows your skin to breath too. The Indot clutch worked with the floral embroidery on the dress as well.
I was very particular about the colors I used because of the mood set in the photograph. Of course, I was going to work with red and black because of the color of her lips and hat, but I also wanted to incorporate a darker blue to represent the blueish-grey background. You can see the blue touches in the embroidery of the dress, the heels, and makeup.
Overall, this look of the day is totally girly and feminine with a sexy edge.

To Everything There Is A Season

On this blog, I have always expressed my love affair with the color combination of black and white. For me, it is such a perfect pairing because of the contrast, graphic nature, and chicness. The color duo always made me feel sharp, crisp and pulled together.
Today's set features the stark color combo but I wanted to balance it with feminine touches that veer more towards an elegant and sophisticated vibe. I wanted to create a look that even a woman who tends to wear dresses would still feel comfortable wearing (someone like me for instance). I have always been intrigued by designers and women who know how to straddle the line between masculine and feminine, so, all of these themes were on my mind while creating this set.
To everything, there is a season but black and white will always stand the test of time. It never goes out of style.

My Faves From The Berluti Men's Fashion Collection Spring/Summer 2018

This was Haider Ackermann's second collection for the brand Berluti, and he did not disappoint. Berluti is a French luxury brand that caters to the sophisticated gent that has an incredible understated style, and under Ackermann, it has added a modern edge that is truly irresistible.
I liked the collection and its jet-setting vibe. I can imagine a rich baron or noble who doesn't deign to wear jeans wearing this brand. You know ... a wealthy man's version of dressing down or casual wear but with a sophisticated twist.
