Tasty Vittles - Citrus Sangria

Serves 4-6

6 diced peaches or nectarines
1/2 cup sugar
3 strips of orange peel
3 strips of lime peel
8 sprigs of fresh thyme
1 bottle of red or white wine

Combine 6 diced ripe peaches or nectarines with 1/2 cup sugar, 3 strips both orange and lime peels, and 8 sprigs fresh thyme; cook on medium heat until sugar melts and fruit softens, 8 to 10 minutes, stirring often. Remove thyme. Pour into a large pitcher; chill. Add 1 bottle red or white wine. Serve over ice; garnish with thyme sprigs.
