It All Pointed In The Right Direction ( My 7 Favorite Suede Black Caged Heels)

I was working with two themes for today's set. The first idea was to create a date night outfit that was a bit more relaxed and not overly tight or clingy. The second idea was to somehow incorporate as many geometric points and angles as I could. Okay, I know that both ideas seem to have nothing to do with each other, but I really didn't care because at the end of the day I came up with a sexy and modern look for evening.

Artistic Inspiration - Hold On By Ruben Ireland ( My 7 Favorite Heart Tops)

Yay! I love the days when I get to showcase my favorite type of post. When I get to use art as inspiration for creating an outfit it combines my two passions in life. Today's art inspiration is "Hold On" by Ruben Ireland. I loved the cool graphic boldness of the painting. It also was tinged with a hint of sweetness. I translated those themes into a cool street style outfit. Look around you and be inspired!

She Captured My Attention With Her Wild Streak And Bold Nature

For the past several season's designers have been referencing the past - in particular, they seem to be having a love affair with the 1990s'. I can understand why. That decade ushered in a lot of changes. It was also the last decade of the reign of the Supermodel. Back then there was a legion of them (Naomi, Cindy, Kate, Christy, Linda, and Claudia) who ruled the runways, magazines, advertising, and nightlife. I miss those days when models were actually featured on the covers of the magazines and commercials. Nowadays it is all about celebrity culture. I guess I have grown nostalgic for the heyday of the Supermodel so they served as my inspiration for today's set.

I See You Checking Me Out - My 9 Favorite Black and White Dresses For Date Night

I love date night! I get to hang out with a hot companion and show off my flirty nature as well. So as we enter into the weekend I decided today's set would be all about sexy black and white dresses to wear to a romantic rendezvous. Why black and white? Well, color can sometimes be distracting and today I wanted the focus to be right on you and your sparkling demeanor. While you charm your date with your captivating conversation you may catch him checking you out in these flirty frocks.

An Enchanting Evening (Inspired By Ingrid Silva) - My 7 Favorite Ballerina Inspired Dresses

Today's set was inspired by this beautiful photo of ballet dancer Ingrid Silva. It was not your typical image of ballerinas that are usually staged in various dance poses which made it very cool. It is a rarity to see a Black (excluding Misty Copeland) or Latina ballerina to garner so much attention. Ingrid is originally from Brazil and is currently a member of The Dance Theater of Harlem. To pay tribute to her talents and beauty I styled a set using her as my style inspiration.

Rose Midi Skirt

For the past couple of months, I have really been into midi skirts. It could be because it is a classic or whenever you put one on you feel instantly pulled together and chic. Either way, it is a good addition to your wardrobe. This particular one in today's set by Chicwish has a beautiful and quirky rose print that has stole my heart. The print is bold, graphic and provides a visual punch that will make you swoon. I paired the eye-catching skirt with an elegant turtleneck, a must-have bag, and ankle boots. As far as makeup is concerned I wanted to keep it classy like the model below and I would recommend just a bit of concealer, a hint of mascara, some finishing powder, and a timeless red lip.

Glam Up Your Casual Style

I woke up this morning and decided to have a little fun and I am starting that mission with today's fashion set. This outfit just makes me smile. It is basically a grown-up version of playing dress up and the look has a youthful exuberance that I adore. It is a bit edgy, quirky, trendy and girly. Which is usually a highly unusual mix to achieve. This outfit would be perfect to strut around in as long as you do not give a damn if anyone else gets it. Go ahead and work it!

Poetry In Motion

I must admit it all started with the beautifully embroidered ankle boots from designer Isabel Marant. I was so drawn to them that I had to find something to style them with and that is how I came up with today's fashion set. I wanted to make sure that the clothes complemented the boots but did not distract you from the intricate detail work and craftsmanship. I paired a Michael Kors bodysuit with a vibrant pink midi skirt from Chicwish and an elegant handbag from Pramma. The finished look is vibrant, chic, and has movement.

A Mysterious Pattern

This is the time of year that you can get away with wearing a more substantial print. It is so easy to pair a standout piece like this Alice + Olivia brocade skirt with minimal pieces that showcase its beauty. A simple turtleneck, suede ankle boot and a sleek clutch complement the skirt well. The perfect finishing touch is to adorn your neck with one of this season's gorgeous statement necklaces like this one by BCBGMAXAZRIA.
