For some reason every time I think of the fall season one of the first things that come to mind is tartan prints. I think it is because fall coincides with the back to school season and when I think of school I think about school uniforms. When I was in elementary school for a couple of years I attended a private Catholic school and our uniform skirts had a blue tartan print so ever since then tartan prints were ingrained in my memory as a fall print. Of course, when it comes to fashion and expressing yourself rules do not apply and you can rock the print all year round, but personally, I never start checking for it until this time of year. One of the easiest ways to add the print to your wardrobe is by wearing tartan shoes. It is a great way to wear an eye-catching print without feeling overwhelmed. It is also a cool way to add some punch to a neutral tone outfit.
