My Artwork - Mass Hysteria
During this pandemic, one of the things that have kept me sane is being able to create. As you all know I am an artist, and before we were forced to self isolate I had been in a creative funk. I was suffering from a creative block but for some reason after all of this madness started my creativity has been unleashed. In the past few weeks, I have completed at least 3 paintings which in turn has lifted my spirits. One of the paintings that I have finished I am showcasing today.

This work is titled, "Mass Hysteria" which was inspired by all of the social and health implications this current pandemic has had on our society. I already suffered from depression and anxiety before all of this and unfortunately, the current news cycle has made my anxiety skyrocket. Luckily painting is a form of self-care for me and has helped balance my emotions during these difficult times. Plus. being able to view other's creative endeavors has brought me some joy as well.
