Office Style - Asymmetry and Proportions

I decided to style an office set that was inspired by Autumn, and it's traditional color scheme. I pulled together a look that is chic, stylish, fashion-forward, and appropriate for work. The starting point for this set was the Michael Kors Henley Top in this gorgeous pumpkin color. I paired it with an asymmetrical Michel Klein Black Wrap Skirt. It had a bit more flair than a traditional pencil skirt, and felt it would be an interesting focal point in the outfit. I accessorized the look with Valentino Booties, a Jerome Dreyfuss Shoulder Bag, and Ginette NY earrings. The finishing touch was this splendid Gustavo Lins Cashmere Coat. The perfect look to start your work day off right.
*** Style Tip ***
Remember that if you wear an article of clothing that has ruffles or any other details that have volume, to keep the rest of the outfit simple and sleek. It will help balance out the look.

Colorful Energy - My 7 Faves From the Alberta Ferretti Spring 2014 Collection

I couldn't get enough of the fiery, bold and vibrant colors that designer, Alberta Ferretti, used in her Spring 2014 Collection. I loved how she used white to serve as a backdrop for her girlish frocks. She has combined artisan techniques with a kaleidoscope of color. Her dresses are perfect for a tropical getaway - from sightseeing in the morning to dinner on the veranda.

Lust Worthy Dress - Mother of Pearl Spring 2014 Collection

Every season I try to challenge myself to embrace and utilize prints in new ways. I'm not one to wear a very busy print, but I was drawn to this vibrant stunner from the Mother of Pearl Spring 2014 Collection. The psychedelic floral print is bright and eye-catching. If I really wanted to step my print-game up a notch I could mix this floral print with a striped blazer or handbag, but I'm not sure if I am ready for that yet. One thing that I am certain of, is when I do decide to rock a bold and fun print, keep the makeup to a minimum.

Fall 2013 - Beauty In Design (Street Style OOTD)

What is a cute weekend outfit? For me, I want it to scream polished and cool. It has to consist of  at least one denim piece and a spectacular pair of shoes. Since I have a flair for the dramatic, this cubist-pattern skirt by designer, Octavio Pizzaro, was a great starting point. The sleek silhouette and above-the-knee hemline kept it polished. It also makes it a breeze to wear with boots or heels. I paired it with a simple, black Alexander Wang tank, and added a denim moto-inspired jacket for a chic and edgy look.
