16 Ways To Rock Orange Makeup This Summer

Orange is one of my favorite colors. It's bright, bold, and fiery just like me. The color orange is usually associated with amusement, the unconventional, extroverts, fire, activity, danger, taste, and aroma. No wonder the color is everywhere this season. I'm usually really good at incorporating orange into my wardrobe, but makeup, not so much. So I have compiled 16 different ways to rock orange makeup to get me motivated.

Celebrate Your Individuality

I have always aspired for my blog to celebrate all of the many facets of creative individuality. Over the years people have wondered why I do not showcase one definable style or items at a particular price point, but for me adhering to such a strict motto or standard of beauty takes all of the fun out of the process of creating. There comes a time when you have to stand up and shout: This is me damn it!
To borrow words from Ralph Waldo Emerson, " To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment."

The Home Advantage - Chalkboard Trend

School is out, but the chalkboard trend is here to stay. This trend works well if you have children, and is just as delightful if you live in a child-free zone. You can go all out and paint a statement wall with chalkboard paint, or dabble in this trend in small doses by incorporating chalkboard accessories in your home. Since this is such a fun and nostalgic idea I wanted to showcase it in a tongue-in-cheek set.
So go ahead, write on the walls.

Turban Inspiration For Summer 2014 (11 Faves)

Turbans have been used throughout history as a way to showcase nobility, religion, and tribal affiliations. They are most commonly worn in African and Asian communities, but in the past several decades the headwear has been adopted by fashionistas across the globe. I love to rock a turban with a great tribal print and chunky jewelry. It's also a great way to protect your hair from the harsh summer heat while still looking chic and fabulous.

Straight From The Runway - My 9 Favorite Sandals for Summer 2014

From the Greeks to the ancient Egyptians, sandals have been a must-have accessory for centuries. I can relate. Sandals are one of my favorite things about summer. I love the feel of the sun on my toes, and the crazy tan lines I get depending on which style I wear. Today I am sharing with you a few of my faves straight from the runway.

Last Comic Standing

The weekend is here and I decided to have a little extra fun with today's set. The comic book trend has been big for the past couple of seasons, and I have finally decided to get in on the action. It took me a minute to figure out how I would rock this tricky trend, but I remembered my rule about rocking one bold piece. My eye-catcher was this Comic Print High-Waist Skirt that I paired with a simple Monki Black Tank, a Zimmerman Red Leather Purse, and Dollhouse Sandals. I found these cute Comic Book Word Bubble Pop Art Stud Earrings from Snark Factory that would work well for adding a little extra dose of fun to the outfit.

Sex and the City Style Inspiration : Carrie Bradshaw

Sex and the City is one of my favorite shows. I never get tired of watching the entire series over and over again. To this day me and my friends either reference it constantly or use a catchphrase from the show. Besides the witty dialogue and great writing, the show was known for its fashion. Patricia Fields, the stylist for the show, did an excellent job making sure each character had their own unique and very identifiable style.  Today's set is dedicated to the main character Carrie Bradshaw who was played by Sarah Jessica Parker. This is my salute to her quirky yet feminine style.

A Free Spirit - Do More Than Just Exist

A couple of weeks ago I came across this cool bohemian picture courtesy of Free People. It's a beautiful look, but with the weather getting warmer it's too late to walk around in a fringe capelet. So I decided to capture the feel of the inspiration image and incorporate it with a beach style theme.

Swimsuit Designer To Watch - Andrea Iyamah

Andrea Iyamah is a brand that provides unique pieces that give every girl an edge. The brand caters to a woman who is looking to rock a fabulous piece at the beach or an edgy bathing suit on a steamy vacation. The brand has focused on selling ethnicity with a modern twist, while maintaining its attention to detail and cuts.
My favorite swimsuit from Andrea Iyamah's collection was the Nivada Tropical Print Bikini. I'm obsessed with a tropical print this season and a high waist bottom. With this bikini, I get both all-in-one. I couldn't help myself and I had to add a bit of glam to the look. I added this gorgeous Golden Orange Bib Style Statement Necklace from Shani's Studio.

Globetrotter - Global Fusion Fashion (BRAZIL)

Today's set was inspired by the country of Brazil. Brazil is the largest country in both South America and the Latin America region. It is a country that is heavily influenced by Portuguese and African culture. The convergence of those two cultures influenced today's outfit. I created a look that I could rock while partying with my girls.

Lust Worthy Dress - Valentin Yudashkin Spring 2014 Collection

I do not have anywhere I could wear this dress too, but I can't help it, I want it in my closet. I can't stop staring at this gorgeous creation that was presented at the Valentin Yudashkin Spring 2014 Collection. This gown is sexy and daring. You can't help but get noticed in it.
