The Process Of Painting Lucid Dreaming
I have finished my latest painting, "Lucid Dreaming ", and thought I would share with you today some of the process.
I have never been into sketching. My mother is highly skilled at it, and I used to love sitting and watching her sketch growing up, but I never inherited the skill or the patience for it. I'm more of a doodler, so, when I start a new painting I paint a basic outline of my idea. No pencils required 😁!
Most of the time I prefer to start working on the background details after making my outline. It is easier for me to start there so I can figure out the composition and balance of the painting.
Once I finish painting in some of the basic background details I can move on to the main focal point of my painting. This is when I start to get really excited seeing how it is starting to come together. It is the most fun I have during the process. I get to allow my imagination to roam free while I come up with fantastical flower creations.
Finally, after a shit ton of detail work my painting "Lucid Dreaming " is complete!
