Be Different Babe - My 7 Favorite Finds Featuring Tropical Birds
When it pertains to fashion we all have our own ideas about what works best for us. For most of us, it has taken years for us to develop our own highly personal fashion sense, and we usually had to suffer through some painful and embarrassing fashion moments to figure it all out. Luckily each and every one of us has a beautifully unique and different perspective when it comes to fashion and I applaud anyone who can stand in their truth and who can disregard the many outside forces that will try to pressure you to conform to their ideals and standards. " I think there is beauty in everything. What normal people perceive as ugly, I can usually see something of beauty in it." - Alexander McQueen. I love this quote from the late designer because it totally sums up how I feel about fashion and to be honest it is basically how I walk through life. Even on my most melancholy days I always can see the beauty in things people discard, view as irregular or imperfect, or just the simplest nondescript items we use every day. But of course, I am a creative and an artist so it probably comes with the territory. I am inspired and intrigued by the most unusual things and concepts. If I am surrounded by sameness for too long of a time I start to feel anxious and irritated. Perfection is unappealing to me. I tend to revel in the cracks and scars that make us who we are and life more interesting. But that is just me. Tell me what has shaped your fashion sense and what do you feel is the most appealing aspect of it?

As you can see from today's outfit of the day I'm focusing on being different and motifs that you do not usually see in fashion. For some reason, I'm obsessed with tropical birds. It is probably because the variety of colors their plumage comes in and because I wish I was on a tropical island right now. It would be so great to be disconnected from the digital world and to be surrounded by lush foliage and the only sounds that could be heard are the caw-cawing of the vibrantly hued bird. Here are a few more of my favorite tropical bird finds below.
